Shannon Carter understands that obesity is a disease process and that aging is a privilege, not a right. She uses her extensive knowledge and experience to educate and assist any individual that struggles with their health and physical appearance.

Shannon attained her Associate’s degree in Science of Nursing from Seminole State College. She then completed her Bachelor’s of Science at Southern Nazarene University. She attained her third degree of a Master’s in Business Administration from Oklahoma Christian University. She has worked in Emergency Medicine, has been a flight nurse, a Critical Care nurse, and an Educator. Shannon Carter has also trained at the National Laser Institute where she qualified as a Certified Cosmetic Injector specializing in Botox, PRP therapy, and cosmetic fillers. She has also extensively trained and gained experience with Dr. Rader, Dr. Cook and Deb Mabbutt, PA in Obesity Medicine.
She now utilizes her in-depth knowledge and experience in the private medical sector to help people just like you.
Meet Brian Cook

My staff and I will facilitate our patient’s effort to reach and maintain their goal weight while helping to provide a healthier mind and spirit along the way."
Dr. Cook was born and raised in Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1994 and completed an Emergency Medicine residency in 1999 at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center.
Since that time Dr. Cook has worked full-time in an Emergency Department. He has treated everything from runny noses to gunshot wounds. Over the years, he has treated all chronic medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, strokes and many more. One common pre-existing condition he found that accelerated them all is the disease of obesity.
Driven by his own weight issues and the desire to help others suffering from obesity he explored the specialty of Obesity Medicine. This led him to attend several conferences on obesity and its adverse effects. He then became convinced this was the path he wanted to pursue in medicine.
Dr. Cook met Dr. Allen Rader at one of these conferences and truly valued his approach, experience, and attitude towards the field of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Rader has practiced Obesity Medicine for over 17 years and has accumulated data that clearly indicates his approach is very effective. Soon after, Dr. Cook trained with Dr. Rader, Dr. Freshwater, and his other staff during a clerkship at various Idaho Weight Loss clinics located in and around Boise, Idaho.

He currently resides in Yukon, Oklahoma with his family and four children. “I love this area of Oklahoma. I enjoy spending time on the lakes, hunting, pickle ball, volleyball, wake boarding and snowboarding to name a few. My weight has unfortunately affected the enjoyment of some of these experiences but since I started Dr. Rader’s weight loss program for myself, I have lost 15 pounds and counting”. Dr. Cook feels this program will lead to increased enjoyment and participation in his passions and ultimately hopes he can help you experience the same with your passions.
